Tab Benoit: Fever for the Bayou
Buddy Guy's "I Smell a Rat" is the album's longest track as Benoit, beginning with a tasty intro, takes his most extended guitar workout, conjuring up a late-night blues club feel in the process. Benoit also contributes three originals, including the zydeco-tinged title track, an anthem of Cajun pride that serves him well as a signature song. Also his is the swamp stomper "Night Train," the album opener. At the other end is a surprise finale, a sublime front-porch, finger-picking acoustic rendition of "My Bucket's Got a Hole in It". --Michael Point

Dennis Clifton: The Blues Highway
Dennis' musical style is honed from Delta Blues, Southern Rock, New Orleans Jazz and Muscle Shoals Soul. "The Blues Highway" features songs written by Dennis and friends from the Muscle Shoals area that are true to his musical roots. The blues highway that runs from Memphis to New Orleans now passes by "... castles full of bad luck growing from the cotton boles" instead of juke joints that marks the path of blues singers of yesterday as Dennis sings about in the title cut. You can feel the soul flowing from the strings of the ole' slide guitar on cut "Detour You", "I've Got Miles To Go"and " Louisiana Nights" . You can feel the pain of old musical friends untimely passing in "My Old Friends". You can hear the raw emotion pour from the saxophone on "If Leaving was easy". This cd contains just the right mix of Muscle Shoals groove songs and heart felt blues songs that evokes images from Delbert Mclinton to the bluesy side of Travis Tritt

Little Rachel: 'Cause I Feel Good
They call her "Little Rachel" because she is only five feet tall, but this petite package packs quite a punch! Little Rachel exploded on to the 1950's rockin' scene in 2000, alongside her sister Caroline, as the exuberant Austin, Texas-based rockabilly duo, "The Casey Sisters". They released two albums on the Swedish label, Tail Records, that quickly earned them a great deal of critical acclaim from 1950's enthusiasts for their strong female harmonies, versatility, and authentic 1950's sound...
