He has played bass guitar for Jimmie Vaughn, Doyle Bramhall, Denny Freeman (currently with Bob Dylan) as well as Joe Kubec, Freddy King, and Lightning Hopkins to name a few. After leaving the scene in the 70's, he has recently been performing as a blues harp player while producing and recording his original music
